About

Hi,

I have taken pictures off and on ever since I was a journalism student. I didn’t get serious about taking the camera setting off automatic though until about six months ago after a taking a trip to Arches National Park in Utah with my husband. At first I liked taking pictures because it was an excuse to be outside and stop along the hiking trails. Then, I began to realize that I was seeing things differently because I was taking pictures. I started taking photography classes which taught me much, but I need to challenge myself to apply what I’ve learned. That’s why I’m blogging. This blog is me putting what I’ve learned up on the web and pushing myself to make better pictures

There are lots of really great blogs about photography. My all time favorite is Craig Tanner’s The Mindful Eye. I’m also addicted to the Project 365 blogs and one of these days I’ll commit to doing one myself, but for now I’ll stick with improving myself on this personal learning environment.

Thank you for reading and helping me learn through your comments.
